Sudan Army Seizes Egyptian Tanks in Darfur

Sudanese President Omar Al Bashir said today that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) confiscated Egyptian vehicles and tankers that were in the possession of gunmen during the recent fighting in Darfur.

The President of the Republic Omar Bashir, returned to Khartoum evening Monday after leading the Sudan delegation to the Doha part in the Doha forum which was convened there under the theme of "development, stability and the question of refugees"

The president was received at Khartoum Airport upon returning by the First Vice President of the Republic and the Federal Prime Minister, LT Gen Bakri Hassan Salih and senior government officials.

North Darfur governor: sanctions have harmed the country a lot

North Darfur Governor, Abdul Wahid Yusuf Ibrahim, has reaffirmed that Sudan has been greatly hurt by the economic sanctions imposed by the American admiration on the country and that the services sector projects have particularly been affected by the sanctions which are based on false and fabricated information.

Belarusian delegation visits a number of iron and ceramic factories and tanneries, affirms technical cooperation with them

The Belarusian delegation, which is currently visiting the country under the protocols signed between the governments of the two countries, visited several factories including Liberty Steel and Iron Smelting, Sila Ceramics and Afrotan Tannery to stand on the possibilities available for the rehabilitation and development of these industries through transferring of modern knowledge and technologies for expansion and establishment of new investments.

Al-Basher: Partial Lifting of US Sanctions opens door for investments

President of the Republic, Field Marshal, Omer Al-Basher has underlined that the partial lifting of the US sanctions imposed on the country opened the door for the influxes of foreign investments in Sudan .

The president, addressing the members of Sudanese embassy, in Qatar, reviewed the improvement of Sudan external relations, the economic situation and investment in the country .

He lauded Qatar for supporting Sudan and peace efforts in Darfur .

President Omar Bashir on Sunday met with his Malian counterpart, Ibrahim Boubakar, on the sideline of the Doha Forum.

The Malian president briefed President Bashir on the overall situation in his country and the stability it is now witnessing following the signing of a peace agreement that seek to bring about peace in Mali.

An agriculture cooperation agreement signed between Sudan and Hungry

Sudan and Hungry on Thursday signed an agriculture cooperation agreement between the two countries, seeking the implementation of joint agricultural projects for production of seeds, wheat and agricultural industry and animal production.

The agreement seeks to make use of the relative advantages in each country to implement these projects.

First Vice - President Gives Directive for Establishing Joint Sudanese - Hungarian Agricultural Project

The First Vice - President of the Republic and National Prime Minister, Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Salih, has given a directive for establishing a joint Sudanese - Hungarian agricultural project between the private sectors in the two countries.

Minister of Animal Resources, Professor Musa Tibin Musa discussed, Wednesday, with Deputy Minister of Agriculture oxf Hungary aspects of cooperation between Sudan and Hungary in development of animal resources sector.

Prof. Tibin welcomed exchange of expertise with Hungary in introduction of technologies of milk powder production and further cooperation in this field.

Minister: America companies embarking on designing investment projects in Nehral-Neil

Minister of Investment, Industry and Tourism in Nehral-Neil State, Engineer Mahmoud Mohamed Mahmoud announced that US companies are working on designing investment projects in the State , which, he said , would constitute a shift in the State.

He added that the large numbers of investors from Gulf States were coming in the State , a matter which requires enhancement of performance and preparation of appropriate climate for investments.

Bank of Sudan and Tunisian Central Bank Sign Memo of Understanding

The Governor of the Bank of Sudan, Hazim Abdul-Gadir, received in his office Tuesday the Governor of the Tunisian Central Bank, Al-Shazali Al-Ayrai.

In a statement to SUNA after the signing a memo of understanding between the two banks, Abdul-Gadir said that the visit of the Central Bank's Governor came in the context of the lifting of the embargo on the Sudanese banking and financial system and the start of banking dealings between Sudan and other countries.
