Al-Dirdiri: South Sudan Peace Agreement Received International Support

The Foreign Minister, A-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed, affirmed that Sudan has obtained wide appreciation from the international community for its sponsorship to South Sudan peace agreement. In an intervention he gave at the meeting of the national Council of Ministers Sunday in Al-Obeid city, the capital of North Kordofan State, the minister pointed out that the United Nations has agreed on deployment of 2000 Sudanese and Ugandan troops among the international peace keeping forces in the Republic of South Sudan.

Japan appreciated  in Statement by Foreign Press Secretary ,Takeshi Osuga,  agreement on the signing of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan.

In a press release issued by Japanese embassy in Khartoum said “   Japan welcomes the signing by the South Sudanese parties in Addis Ababa, capital  of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, on current  September 12, of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in South Sudan (R-ARCSS). Japan expresses its respect for all the efforts made by Sudan and other IGAD (Intergovernmental Authority on Development) countries as well as the IGAD Secretariat to promote peace in South Sudan.”

CBOS denies setting of ceiling for withdrawals from banks

The Spokesperson of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) Sami Abdul-Hafeez has denied issuance of any decision by the Central Bank of Sudan setting a ceiling for withdrawals from banks. The CBOS spokesperson said, in a statement issued on Wednesday, that there was no change in the bank’s policies and procedures for withdrawals from banks or determining the withdrawals.

Sudan Condemns Terrorist Attack in Jordan

Foreign Ministry  ha sexpressed  condemnation  and denunciation  to terrorist explosion  Jordan’ security forces  on August 10 at Fuheis area  that left a number of innocent people dead and injured  as well as terrorizing  people in a crime  contravening all  humanitarian  principles.

In a statement issued , the Ministry expressed  sincere  condolences  of  government and people of Sudan to  families of martyrs  and government and people of Jordan.

Acting Governor of Kassala State, Magzoub Musa Magzoub  discussed during meeting  the Dutch Ambassador to Sudan  issues of illegal migration and its regional  and international  impacts.

The Acting Governor reviewed  during the meeting the State government efforts  to combat  human trafficking and smuggling , which he described as immoral and  violate all  international and  humanitarian norms.

 The Minister of Tourism, Antiquities and Wildlife Mohamed Mustafa Abu Zaid has praised the royal directive issued by the Saudi Arabian government to the Prince Sultan bin Salman, Chairman of the National Authority for Tourism and Heritage, to sign a memorandum of understanding with Sudan. The South Sudanese groups currently engaged in peace negotiations in Khartoum, have initialed an agreement on government and power sharing in their country. The talks are under the auspice of President Omar Bashir and the umbrella of the IGAD organization. In June the south Sudanese rival groups, including government and armed opposition signed a permanent ceasefire declaration within a Khartoum Agreement for Peace in South Sudan.

 Sudan and Russia have signed an agreement on gas exploitation in the Red Sea, where the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil and Gas signed on behalf of the Sudanese side and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Russian Geology Foundation signed for the Russian side. The mediation in the internal South Sudan conflict, on Tuesday said the rival southern groups have reached a peace deal on the issue of government and powers sharing during the interim period, and that deal would be signed with initials on Thursday while the final signature would take place Thursday, next week, in the presence of heads of state and representatives of regional and international organizations that would be invited for the event.

Talks between Khartoum and Juba on oil production resumption

Sudan and South Sudan have started discussions on the technical issues related to the re-operation of South Sudan fields and the exchange of benefits between the two countries. Sudan permanent envoy to the United Nations, Ambassador Omer Dahab, has renewed Sudan full commitment to justice.
In his response and comment on the 27th report of the International Criminal Court, ambassador Dahab said that disadvantages of this Court are not confined to the contradiction in the articles of the law that it is applying which is the Rome Statute, but also have widened and exacerbated by its corruption, abhorrent political exploitation and because of the ugly selectivity that the court is pursuing which has resulted in its targeting to the African leaders alone.

 Minister of International Cooperation, Idris Suleiman met, Wednesday, at his office, the Canadian Ambassador to Sudan and reviewed with him the spare of joint cooperation in economic and development fields . Sudan's gold production in 2018 1st quarter stand at 36.5 tones

The Sudan gold production in the first quarter of the 2018 fiscal scored 36.5 tons of which the companies put up 4,5 tones while the tradition mining has come up with 32 tons, fetching 784.5 million Sudanese pounds. A statement by the Ministry of Minerals before the national Assembly on Tuesday said in its review of the last quarter of 2017 and the first quarter of current fiscal year 2018.

Minister of Trade: Importation of Commodities Opened for Avoiding Rarity in Commodities

The Minister of Trade, Hatim Al-Sir, pointed out that his ministry has opened the door for importation of commodities, through a directive from the economic sector of the Council of Ministers, with the aim to avoid rarity in commodities. President assistant receives Afro-Arab union's digital media press freedom award

The Assistant of the President of the Republic, Gen Abdul Rahaman Sadiq El Mahdi, has stressed that Sudan enjoys a considerable freedom of the press, voicing his pride in receiving the awards of the Afro Arab Digital Media Union Award, in its first version launched in the Sudan.

The Assistant who received the Award in Khartoum has conveyed to the delegates the greetings of the President of the Republic Omar Bashir and his support for the union.

The award was handed by Ms. Maha Al Sheikh Babikir, the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Union. The event was attended by representatives from 15 Ara and African countries beside a number of senior Sudanese government ministers and officials, the Sudanese journalists union and the Council of the African political parties.

The chairperson has pointed out to the envisage role of the union and how it could work with its counterpart and peers in matters related to press freedom and promotion of the profession practices.

She referred to the freedoms as enshrined in the beliefs of the community and how this freedom should be responsible, not infringing the liberties and freedoms of others.

The Undersecretary at the ministry of information, Ambassador Yasser Khider, has referred to the wide range, scope and areas of freedoms as laid in the Sudanese legislations, Sudanese culture and society which he said stand as the first line of defense and guarantee for press freedoms in the Sudan.
