  • He received the prestigious Humanitarian Award from the Governor of Virginia in 2009 for his international humanitarian endeavors.
  • On October 22nd, 2012, Dr. Khalafalla was honored by the US.Congress for organizing successful Congressional Delegations to the Middle East which increased dialogue and engagement in this strategically important region.
  • Dr. Khalafalla’s opinion pieces have been published in the Daily Caller, Washington Times, Fox News, the Tribune, and Alayam, among others. He is also frequently called on to comment on Africa and the Middle East on broadcast media, including Alhurra, NBC, and al-Jazeera.
  • He has many national contributions at the political level and in the framework of supporting Sudan's foreign relations, especially with the United States; Dr. Sadiq organized, in coordination with the CTC Group Co, the US congressional delegation visit to Sudan. He also prepared the visit of the Speaker of the National Council, Prof. Ibrahim Ahmed Omar to the United States. As well as his contributions in the areas of education at the level of the Sudanese community in the United States, he has deployed remarkable efforts in the development of cultural relations between the Sudanese and American universities and academic institutions, as well as in supporting the development efforts in humanitarian work and different issues of art, sport and the private sector Sudan.
  • Dr. Khalafalla’s humanitarian and interfaith initiatives have been recognized by the University of Louisiana, the Virginia Commonwealth University, the University of Bahrain, and the University of Richmond.
  • He regularly appears in the media and has delivered keynote addresses before Bahrain International Symposium, the International Law and Religion Symposium, and diverse audiences across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
